02 · Recent Engineering Challenges
Challenge: 50k concurrent teachers attempting marks entry during national internet blackouts caused data loss and server crashes in legacy systems.
Solution: Architected an IndexedDB queue with SHA-256 device fingerprinting and adaptive backpressure throttling. Teachers enter marks offline; cryptographic seals ensure zero data loss when connectivity returns. Reduced peak-time data loss from 15% to 0%.
Challenge: Regional exam boards manually re-entered candidate subject clusters across 250+ institutions, causing fatal pairing imbalances before print production.
Solution: Built a recursive auto-fill engine where declaring English 0530 instantly populates Math, French, Geography, and Economics across the entire database. Ensures 100% institutional alignment with zero manual re-entry.
Challenge: Students sharing paid access IDs undermined revenue and academic integrity on EduSphere GCE’s digital reserve platform.
Solution: Designed 8-character cryptographically hashed IDs seeded by phone/time, with instant revocation, full audit trails, and role-based security-definer checks. Ghost-mode admin impersonation enables support without session disruption. Processed 5,000+ XAF transactions securely.
